Transit T1, T2, Carnet TIR

The T1 transit procedure is used to transport non-Union goods under customs supervision; the payment of import duties is not required. For example, goods delivered from the USA to the port of Klaipeda are transported under the T1 transit procedure to a customs warehouse in Vilnius.

The T2 transit procedure is used to transport goods of Union status through the territory of certain non-EU countries (Common Transit Countries). For example, goods are transported from Lithuania to Ireland via the United Kingdom. Under the T2 procedure, the goods keep their Union goods, and upon arrival to Ireland, no import procedure shall be carried out.

As no import duties are payable for transit, a guarantee must be provided to the customs authorities. In this case, we offer complex solutions for your convenience:

  • we fill in a T1 or T2 declaration;
  • we provide a comprehensive guarantee;
  • if the transit procedure starts in the Klaipeda port, we execute the transit in a simplified way - you will save time spent at customs.

We provide Carnet TIR holders with services for filling in these Carnets and their electronic data.
